Proof approval form for a custom piece, before anyone makes it

A proof approval form is the moment a buyer looks at a design preview and says yes, make that one. Printers have used it for years. Custom gift makers need it more, because the thing being approved does not exist yet.

I make Proof for that moment. You write the specs you agreed. You attach the preview or the photos. Both sides Confirm by email. The buyer keeps one link. It is a shared record. It is not notarization.

The season the previews pile up

On September 28, 2026, Reuters reported Adobe's holiday forecast: U.S. online sales are expected to grow 6.7% this season, with Adobe putting November 1 to December 31 at $275.1 billion. Value-seeking shoppers, lots of promotions.

A forecast does not approve anything. But every made-to-order gift in that pile has a preview that someone said yes to in a chat. In January, that chat is the only record, and it is usually a cropped screenshot.

What a yes should hold

  • The preview itself, as the original file. Proof stores it with a SHA-256 hash. A later swap will not match.
  • The specs in words. Size, color, finish, the name spelled out, the photo it was made from.
  • Both Confirms. The maker and the buyer each press Confirm from the email they were invited with. No app.
  • One /p link. After both confirm, the page is read-only.

How I use it at YueFetch

I also run YueFetch, a Hong Kong shop that sources from Guangdong. The custom pet photo pieces there work exactly like this: the buyer sends a clear front-facing photo after checkout, we send a design preview, and nothing is produced until they approve. One example is the relief fridge magnet. The approved preview and the specs are what I want on one page, not in a thread. Proof is not the YueFetch checkout. It is the record around the yes.

Start one

Start at Proof. The public sample is a key handover: the sample Proof. Same shape: terms, files, both people confirmed, one link. For a custom order, open a shopper packet.

Free is 3 packets a month. Pro is $24 a month or $240 a year. The person you invite does not pay to view or to Confirm. Questions: hello@yuefetch.com.

What this is not

Proof is not a notary and not a certified timestamp. A hash shows whether the stored file changed after upload. It does not show who made the preview. Confirming by email is not an identity check. It is one page where both sides said yes to the same picture.

Ship with a record both sides confirmed

Lock the specs, real photos, and dual confirmation before the parcel leaves.
