A Whatnot badge is not the photo of the piece you ship

Whatnot Premier Shoplive show photospre-shipment
A Whatnot badge is a label on a seller. It is not a photo of the unit in the mailer.
Whatnot's own Premier Shop page says the commission cut ends on 1 November 2026. Through 31 October, Premier Shops had their commission reduced by a relative 10 percent, so a 5 percent rate became 4.5 percent. From 1 November, in markets with tiered rates, the badge no longer includes that discount. The badge, the extra visibility, and the priority support stay. Qualifying rules stay. I do not sell on Whatnot. I am not quoting your tier.
What the fee change does not settle
A live show is lit, cropped, and gone. The buyer remembers the sample on camera. The parcel is whatever you taped later. A lower commission, or the loss of one, does not identify the clasp, the count, or the scratch.
Chat screenshots have the same hole. Crop one and it is a different file. A badge on a profile does not hash the photo.
What should exist before you ship
- Specs in words. The piece, the size, the count, any flaw you already named on the show.
- Photos of this unit, originals kept. SHA-256 on each file.
- Both Confirms by email. No app for the other side.
- One
/plink that turns read-only after both sides say yes.
Proof is not a Whatnot integration. It does not change your commission. A hash shows whether the stored file changed after upload. It does not prove who held the camera. Capture time is whatever the phone reported. This is not notarization.
The handoff I use next to YueFetch
I also run YueFetch. Custom jewelry leaves Guangdong after real desk photos, not a show still. Specs and those photos go on one link. Proof is not the YueFetch checkout. The public sample is a key handover. For a shopper job, open a shopper packet. The quote form is yuefetch.com/request.
Free is 3 packets a month. Pro is $24 a month or $240 a year. The person you invite does not pay to view or Confirm. Questions: hello@yuefetch.com.
The limit
A November commission change does not photograph the piece, and a hash does not win a marketplace dispute by itself. It keeps the file you both confirmed before the label went on.
